Lesley A. Warren

Professor of Applied Biogeochemistry, University of Toronto

Currently, Warren holds the Claudette Mackay-Lassonde Chair in Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto, where she is the PI for the world leading Mining, Water and Environment group. Warren is also the first female Director at the Lassonde Institute of Mining at the University of Toronto. She holds funding from NSERC, Genome Canada, MRI (ORF-RE), CFI, Glencore, MEND, and Syncrude Canada. She leads a team of researchers pursuing disruptive technologies to enable adaptive management and reclamation of mining wastes through interdisciplinary biogeochemistry, molecular microbiology and modeling to drive environmental and corporate success for the global mining industry.
